Jill Alikas St Thomas, known at the time as Sandra Jill Alikas and Ray Carroll in 1987 founded the Sire Reprise electronic band Waterlillies from New York City. Having answered Jill’s ad in the Village Voice, they met under the arch of Washington Square Park to exchange cassettes of projects they were working on. By 1995 the duo had released (2) full length albums, “Evoloptuouisity” their first and the follow up “Tempted”. In 1995 they were nominated Best New Artist at the New York Music Awards and their album Tempted was listed as one of the Top Ten Albums of 1994 by Entertainment Weekly. Their single Never Get Enough from their album Tempted reached Number 1 on the Billboard Chart, their 3rd top 20 hit.

Pregnant with her daughter Elektra, Jill founded Suicide lounge in 2004. A stripped-down Jazz homage to obscure covers. Piano and vocals set the stage for this night club act that performed in the smoky and sultry South West region of the U.S. from 2004-2005
